LANCÔME was founded in 1935 by Amand Petitjean on February 21,1935. Lancome takes its name from Lancosme Castle in the heart of France. The centre is located at 29 Rue du Faibourge Saubt-Honore in Paris, and LANCÔME's first five perfumes, called 'fortendres Nuits' , 'Kypre' , 'Tropiques' , 'Bocages' and 'Conquete' , are on display at the World Expo in Brussels. In 1964 l'oréal bought the Lancome brand. LANCÔME entered China in 1993. Lancome.com was founded in 1997. By 2010, Lancôme will have 19 websites, 15 of which will have ecommerce platforms.
